“Are you all right?” asked Vivan when he saw that Nisha was lost in her own thoughts.
“No,” she spoke absent mindedly,”I dont like this offer at all. What if………” She suddenly realised what she way saying and stopped. She looked around her and it took her a moment to come back to her senses.
“Trust me Nisha,” spoke Diya enthusiastically, “Its all going to turn out pretty well this time.”
“I doubt this,” said Nisha,” I am not willing to take this risk.”
“Lets call it a leap of faith then,”said Diya not at all in a mood to give up, “Cheer up now, will you?”
“We are not discussing this anymore,” said Nisha firmly and with an air of authority.
“Please!” said Diya making a grumpy face,” This offer feels like a ray of warm sunshine and I am pretty hopeful about it.”
Nisha looked at Diya’s delightful face, something that had been missing for a pretty long time. Something within her melted and she felt guilty for declining the offer.
“I would like to have a word with Nisha alone,” said Arjun looking at Diya and Vivan.
Nisha gave him a surprised look while Vivan and Diya exchanged curious glances.
“We shall be right there,” said Diya pointing towards a huge oak tree,”And I do hope that Mr. Arjun manages to convince you.”
“What are you worried about?” Arjun asked Nisha once Diya and Vivan had left.
“Our safety,” Nisha spoke up,” That hotel is full of deadly people. God knows what happened to that poor man who was abducted and never seen again.”
“You mean Mr. Das’ son,” he asked her, his voice beaming with curiosity.
“One can never say,” she said,”Since I couldnt see his face that day……………………”
“Maybe,” he said,” Santa wants you back. Dont you feel that maybe Diya and you can put an end to all the crimes going on there? You were the only one who saw that man getting abducted. Maybe it wasnt just a coincidence. Maybe all this is destined to be! I know you are scared but…………………And maybe that day, that woman did actually see something or someone in the pool and we just ignored her!”
“I never thought of it this way,” she said,” I know that the hotel isnt safe for anyone but maybe thats the reason we are needed there.”
“I wont deny that its risky,” he said,”But what if your courage is the gateway to your dreams!”
“I am not sure,” she whispered,” I am awfully scared.”
