“I know,” said Nisha speaking to Diya over the phone,” its just an assumption. But it is the most logical and obvious assumption.”
“I get that,” said Diya getting into the cab with Vivan,” we cannot deny whats in front of us. And we cannot even deny what lies within us.”
“I dont understand anything Diya. What shall I do? I feel so scared. It feels as if my entire world has been torn apart?”
“I know how it feels,” said Diya from the other end of the line,”but there is absolutely nothing we can do about things which arent in our hands. All we can do is embrace the storm.”
“I have no more strength,” said Nisha resting her head on the table,”all this is too much for me to handle.”
“Then go one moment at a time,” said Diya,” thats what love says and thats my survival guide too. Otherwise our soul shall be crushed underneath all these burdens. Embrace this moment for what it is and release all conclusions and expectations about the next moment.”
“Thats easier said than done,” said Nisha feeling very low.
“Yes,” said Diya,” but this is what we have been doing till now. And there is one thing that I am truly sure of.”
“That we have survived with grace?” asked Nisha.
“That I cant say,” said Diya,” but I can honestly say that we are better than we used to be.”
The thundering clouds added to the mystic ambiance. The rainwater flooded the roads and the melodious sounds of the raindrops could be heard on the rooftops. Nature has its own charm. It creates and it destroys. It hurts and it heals. But above all, its not bound by any fear. The winds go where they are sent, the rain falls when its asked to and the storm emerges when its told to. Nature follows the divine will in each moment. It embraces every instruction the divine delivers to it. How extraordinarily wonderful!
Diya rested her head against the glass window and recalled what Nisha had said,” its the most obvious and logical assumption.” She felt heaviness in her heart centre and her mind tormented her with all sorts of logical explanations. She embraced her fear fully and closed her eyes. The music system in the cab was playing a beautiful song which said,”The waves of the ocean depict the gentleness of your heart, all misery your love drives apart, in this threat of storms how long will my faith last? I know you are watching over me but I still feel lonely. My beloved creator, hold me in thy loving embrace and let me weep till the sun sets and spreads its crimson hue. Place me in the light of love that I may trust your power in the heavens above. I am scared and distraught, I need your help, I need your help. Awaken your light within my heart, in my troubled times please play your part and when I can go no more, send in your angels to lift me to your heavenly abode. I cannot see you within me. I have lost sight of all thats good. Make me aware of your presence within me and every other soul. Give me the courage to hear your whispers, make me a vessel of your divine grace. I have no one but your love in this miserable time and space.”
