The night was pretty dark and foggy. The dimly lit library was all quiet as it was late night. The small light bulb at the entrance was flickering and the strong winds shook up the entire room.
Nisha stepped in slowly followed by Diya. They made their way to one of the bookshelves in the extreme corner of the room.
“I dont know why,” said Diya looking through the books,” but I feel there is something we are missing out on.”
“And what can that possibly be?” asked Nisha looking at her in wonder.
“Maybe,” said Diya,” we have been too quick in trusting people.”
“Are you trying to say that Vivan and Arjun……”
“No,” said Diya,” I am talking about Ahan and Rihana.”
“Wait,” said Nisha surprised by her response,” how did you get to know about them?”
“Nisha, you need to be careful. How could you go out alone on a drive with him? You could have informed me at least.”
“You are right. I should have let you know but who told you about all this?”
“I had a word with Rihana this afternoon. As per the will of the universe, we met just as Vivan and I were leaving the dining hall. She was busy talking to Vivan about his workshop when she mentioned about your views on their work. And then when I asked her to say something more about this, she said that you and Ahan are dating and are off for a drive.”
“I wasnt dating him,” said Nisha raising her voice following which she looked around in embarassment.
“I mean,” she spoke in a hushed voice,” he tricked me into all this. But yes, I am sorry that I didnt tell you the truth.”
“Nisha, I hope you remember my story about my past relationship. These people are like vampires. They dont let go off their prey that easily.”
“Calm down Diya. I know that Ahan is not the one for me and I am also aware of his wrong doings. But he does have a beautiful heart. Even when he was the only one on the deserted road, he stopped and helped that girl. Most people are afraid to do so. He didnt care about the fact that it could be a trap laid for him or he would get into some sort of trouble.”
“I can see,” said Diya feeling worried,” that he has already got his hold on you. You are being misled completely. How can you be so sure of this?”
“What do you mean Diya?” said Nisha picking out a book from the shelf,” he stayed with that girl until his friends arrived. He waited patiently on that deserted road. I am sure that he did the great job of saving her.”
