“What does all of this mean? How can they fire me like this?”
Nisha Dhar was reading an email her close friend had sent her. It read, “Dear Nisha, come back quickly. I don’t know the whole story but Mr Ramola has made up his mind. God knows what he has against you. I have heard that he has ruined your progress report. The committee may take a decision to fire you today. We have sent them a request to delay the meeting till you return. Come back quick.”
Nisha was in tears. Being fired from her job at the time she was in debt! She could feel her heartbeat racing, her forehead covered in sweat. All of her happiness turned into fear in an instant. She was ruined or rather she had ruined everything for everyone. Her hard work, her dedication for her job, all judged by a mere progress report? She had worked hard for so long just to get a few moments of happiness and now, they too were ruined. Why was life being so harsh on her?
“Now what am I going to say to Dad? This is so embarrassing.”
Nisha’s mom was calling out her name. But Nisha just couldn’t face anyone anymore. She had proudly agreed to make all arrangements for her cousin’s wedding. She had taken up a loan she believed she would pay back soon, but now?
She could not go back that day. It was her cousin Juhi’s wedding. So many arrangements were left. She had also arranged for a small get together with all the old friends. How upset would such a news leave everyone? No, she could not share this with anyone.
Sometimes when we feel that we have everything under our control, suddenly everything starts to fall apart. We are suddenly pushed from light to extreme darkness. Why is this happening? Such questions arise in our minds? We feel lost and lonely. But have you ever wondered that when everything is falling apart, then maybe its actually falling into place.
Thank you for reading. Love and peace to all.
