The fog was still pretty dense but the whole town was awake now. The road was jammed with vehicles and the two girls were having a really hard time walking up to their destination.
”Did Manager Nishant really say that?”, asked Arjun. Vivan and he were having a conversation about their workshop.
”Yes,” said Vivan,”he did say that we cannot have our workshop here.”
”I just don’t get this,” said Arjun, “its not that we are making any profit out of it. And all we need is a little space outdoors close to pool. Thats it.”
”He said that we cannot include our personal events in the celebration. He was quite pissed off. He also said that their hotel is not a ground for putting up stalls.”
”Thats why I dont like these lavish hotels. We would have had no problems had it been an ordinary guest house.”
”Thats true but he is right too. I mean we just can’t hold a workshop in their hotel and invite their guests. I thought that there isn’t any harm in it but I guess we better leave it as of now.”
”And what about the guests who have already registered. There are at least fifteen of them.”
”I shall ask the receptionist to send them word. I have their names here.”
”How disappointing! I was so excited about this.”
”I am sorry Diya but this doesn’t seem to be a good idea at all. You see arranging for activities in this area seems stupid enough. Yes, we can get environmental NGOs to do that but arranging them all by ourselves, convincing the owner, this seems stupid.”
”But we can try at least.”
”It will be no good. See Diya I know that you have a lot of ideas in your mind. But all this is just too complicated. Trust me, start with something simple and unique.”
”I don’t have any more ideas.”
”Don’t worry, the universe will figure out something for you. But if you ask me I do have a lot of them.”
”Yes, for sure. And they are way more simpler.”
”You can click pictures, do a bit of exploring and then what do you say about.. starting an online magazine?”
”O my God, you are a genius. I never thought of that.”
”Thats because you were so busy implementing the ideas of the Mother Earth Society. Come on Diya, you are way better than them.”
”And once our magazine is able to get recognition, it will automatically attract the environmentalists here. Thats so simple.”
”So then what are we doing tonight,” asked Arjun.
Vivan was busy working on his laptop. He was too busy doing something.
”What are you up to?”, Arjun asked again.
”I handled it pretty well Sir. That girl was almost ready to call the police.” Assistant manager Mr. Ajay was speaking with someone over the phone.
”I am sorry Sir,” he continued, “we normally do not let anyone stay in that room and all the rooms were full because of some wedding and that stupid receptionist messed it all up. And to add to that, Nishant had to be extra kind to her. I am sick of his attitude. Why don’t you kick him out?”
