”I feel like crap,” said Nisha as she sank down in her bed, “this feels weird. I don’t know, but I feel a strong urge not to go back to a similar job. But at the same time I dread the repercussions. I am already in debt and…………..”
”Hold on,” Diya interrupted her, “can you just stop this rant. There wont me any terrible repercussions. You can make a living doing things you love.”
”Thats easier said than done. I love decorating my bed with new bedsheets and cushions and I love decorating my room with candles. And yes, I also love sitting by the fireplace having my coffee. So do you think I can earn a living by this?” Nisha bursted out angrily. Her outburst had left her shaking and breathless. She was feeling too afraid to venture out into the unknown, though in her heart she knew that this was exactly what she was meant to do.
Diya was observing her closely. She could see a girl, vulnerable and afraid.
She too had been in similar situations but she had never experienced fear to that extent. Even when she had left home, she was pretty confident about it. But looking at Nisha, she could see how afraid she felt of venturing out. She felt as if Nisha needed a reassuring hug from God. She wished that Santa would come to them to deliver God’s message. She was totally unaware of God’s plans. She didn’t even know who had sent her that email. But she still felt supported. But she could see that Nisha was feeling unsupported at the moment.
”Come on Nisha, you can at least give yourself a chance. The universe will figure out something for you. Even I am wandering aimlessly and in my case going back home is a harder option.”
”At least your family knows the truth,” said Nisha with teary eyes.
”Yes, they do because I chose to tell them. But if you wish to keep this a secret for sometime now there is no big deal about it.”
”You know what Diya, I really want to get out of this mess. If only I had the guts to do this……………”
”You do have guts and thats the reason you went in for that reading. Thats the reason you chose to stay with me as you were worried for my safety, thats the reason you refused to bow down before your boss and thats the reason you spoke up on my behalf. Its not the debt or the people who are holding you back. Its your constant resistance to the will of the universe. Why don’t you just get off this and let the universe have her own way? And if you are feeling unsupported you can lean on me.”
”Nobody would have ever told me that. You are different and the very first friend whom I can completely trust.”
”Okay, so now start trusting the Goddesses too. And let them handle this.”
